Waves Canvas Painting

With new bedding came a new need for something to go over the bed… aka me looking for a new art project.  I found a pillow on Etsy 2 years ago that I decided to “recreate” and modify to fit above my bed on 2 canvases.

Waves Canvas Painting

What you’ll need:

  • Two 20″x 16″ canvases
  • Teal, black and yellow acrylic paint
  • Paint brush

I started by getting the canvases, and making lots and lots of scalloped waves in a teal paint.

The waves definitely took longer than expected, and required a sturdy hand.  Finally I finished them, and added a sun and sailboat to the mix with more paint.

Voila!  Homemade wall art to match my comforter!

Shout out to Taylor for naming my painting, “‘A reckless, lonely boat lost on a tumultuous sea” via Instagram.
