Since the weather was finally sunny this Sunday, Hunter and I decided the ditch the normal brunch routine and explore a new part of Charleston, Cypress Gardens.  They have a massive black swamp that you can paddle a canoe through, trails to walk, a butterfly center (1/5 the size of Callaway’s, we’re spoiled), swamparium and gift shop.  Enough talk, enjoy the beauty!

Fun fact: Cypress Gardens was originally a rice plantation and Hurricane Hugo destroyed it (12,000 downed trees and 4 years to fix it back up), but thanks to nature lovers and private donors, the land has been preserved for future generations to enjoy!
