One of the reasons I made a basic, tan burlap wreath back in July was the versatility to change it up for every season and after making the candy corn mason jars, I was starting a fall crafting binge.
I’m mildly obsessed with the color purple, so I knew I wanted some purple and probably dark orange and brown in the fall version of my burlap wreath. I headed to Michael’s, spent 15 minutes in the fall aisles, and left with an assortment of pumpkins, leaves, delicious smelling acorns and purple ribbon.
I fastened the two “pumpkin / leaf branches” to the wreath with wire and then came the fun part… bow making. If you know me, you know that bows quite honestly frighten me. The thought of making a bow by myself, instead of having Maggie make one for me, was just as frightening. Cue Google and Youtube. Once I had an expert crafter teaching me the ways of bow making in elementary terms, I was able to complete my first bow… and the fall update to the burlap wreath!
Not the best bow I’ve ever seen, but my bow making skills are extremely novice and I’m happy enough with it to hang it on the front door!
Looks awesome Kelley!
Wreath looks good and it’s nice you can change it every season. I have credit at Michael’s and hope to get some fall leaves and/or flowers for an arrangement. Mine have all fallen on hard times and are very old. Enjoy life! Love, Grandmom
Such a crafty girl! Looks great!
I wanna make one!
