This past weekend I had two Christmas parties which required an appetizer and thought it would be a great time to try out a recipe I found on Pintrest. Cranberry and cheese screams holiday party to me, so I headed to Publix and got ready to make 100+…
Cranberry and Brie Bites
Ingredients:
- 3 packages miniature phyllo pastry shells (45 total shells. Find these in the freezer section.)
- 1 can whole berry, cranberry sauce
- 1 wheel Brie, without the rind
Preheat oven to 350°. Place phyllo shells on a baking sheet, and bake for 5 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 300°. Let the shells cool completely before putting the cheese / cranberries in.
Cut Brie into about 45 pieces (about an inch long). Place 1 Brie piece in each pastry shell; top with about 1 teaspoon cranberry / sauce.
Bake for 4 to 6 minutes, or until the cheese begins to melt. Serve immediately.
Results: They’re easy to make and delicious! My friends ate over a hundred of these between the 2 parties and I will definitely be making them again, with different fruit for the seasons.
And then bring them to mi casa!
