This past weekend we celebrated Kristen and Andrew’s wedding weekend in Charleston!  Kristen was the 3rd wedding ADPi wedding this year, and it was a blast — just like the bachelorette party in Miami earlier this summer.  Kristen met Andrew at Cofc, and this was basically a classy Adpi / Sigma Chi mixer with some college friends I hadn’t seen in years.

We started the weekend off Friday night at a welcome cocktail party at Charleston Place for wedding goers, and the bridal party + family joined once rehearsal was over.  A few of us grabbed dinner at Sermet’s beforehand and Hunter got to meet a few more college friends & significant others.  When we all get together, we basically just laugh for hours, and Friday was no exception.  We took over the Thoroughbred Club, and had a huge reunion that spilled into the lobby.  There was even a magician, who was doing crazy tricks.

Saturday we all headed downtown for the ceremony at St. John the Baptist cathedral.  The only way to describe the ceremony and reception is “fairy tale.”  Kristen looked gorgeous in a huge dress from Kleinfield’s (Say yes to the Dress NYC boutique), and it perfectly fit the cathedral’s look.  They even left the cathedral in a carriage — straight Cinderella style.

Since the reception was on Daniel Island, they had buses take us there from downtown.  We took some pictures and then I destroyed some pimento cheese sliders during cocktail hour.  The reception inside at the Daniel Island Club was beautiful, as expected.  Huge centerpieces, beautiful place settings, and the band was phenomenal.  I am seriously still sore from dancing so much during the night.  After the reception, we talked the bus driver into letting all of us Cofc kids off at one of our favorite college bars to continue the fun.

Sunday morning, we got up and headed to Edmund’s Oast for brunch.  It was the first time a lot of us Charlestonians (and college friends) had been there, so I was pumped to try a new-ish place.  It was also great to see everyone one last time before people hopped on planes and went back home.
