This past weekend we headed to Atlanta to celebrate Pegs’ birthday, and go to the GT / Clemson game.  Friday night we enjoyed some appetizers, then headed to Veni Vidi Vici for dinner with Mark, Michelle, Robert, Lauren and Pegs.  What a dinner– we were spoiled with some free appetizers (Hunter loved the smoked octopus) and great pasta dishes.  And we of course sang happy birthday to the birthday girl..

Saturday morning we made our way toward Tech’s campus with a stop at Pint and Plate to start acclimating ourselves to the cold, and warm ourselves up with a drink.  I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the football game, but I know Hunter wanted a different turn out.  I had been waiting a few years for that outcome, and it was great to have it happen in Atlanta!

After the game we met the family and some other friends at Baraonda for salad, pizza and the 3:30pm football games.  Hunter, Pegs and I basically did that the rest of the day –> watch football and eat.  Since UGA didn’t lose, the highlight of our night was running into the cast of The Walking Dead as we headed back to our hotel!

Sunday we got on the road early and ended up having a productive night at home: watched football next to the fire, washed oyster shells for another project, cooked some chili, filled my new basket from Celadon with fancy longleaf pinecones, drilled a hole in the back of our new media piece for cords, and set it up in the corner. I was happy to finally have the media cabinet done and have some pictures out!  And I’m sure Nadeau is happy every time we walk in their store since we leave with more furniture..
