My friend Sarah and her boyfriend also bought a house in the last year and they’ve been putting the place together.  We’ve shared tips (and painters and carpet people) on different projects and I’ve bugged her for awhile to share one of her projects.  Today’s the day folks…

The funny thing is this wasn’t something for their house, but actually something Sarah made for a co-worker who knew she was pretty crafty and had some painting skills.

Reclaimed Wood Beach Painting

What you’ll need:

  • Reclaimed wood
  • Nails / hammer
  • Paint
  • Paint brushes

Sarah’s coworker found the reclaimed wood and nailed the pieces together so she knew it’d be the perfect size, then handed that off to Sarah for the painting part.

After grabbing some paint samples at Lowe’s, Sarah used them and an image on Pinterest to paint the seascape.  She said it didn’t take too long — not bad for an afternoon project!

I wouldn’t mind having that piece hung up in our house!  Thanks for sharing your painting project, Sarah — you’re awesome.
