So the cat’s outta the bag — we’re engaged!
This past Sunday Hunter and I enjoyed a great brunch at Old Village Post House, then went on a walk down the Pitt St bridge. The funny thing is that I played right into his plan of Pitt St bridge without even knowing.. At the end of the bridge I’m looking around and taking pictures of the beautiful view and day, and Hunter said something like it seemed like the right time.. and I turned and he was on one knee! At this point, I don’t remember anything else he said, just that he was proposing and I had started crying. Hunter said I squeezed his face and then kissed him.
And that was that! I loved that it was just the two of us, especially because there were a bunch of people on the bridge as we walked back — perfect timing!
After enjoying the moment on the bridge by ourselves, we headed to Tavern & Table for a glass of champagne to toast! The engagement made me not want to spend the rest of the day sanding a table, so we headed to Marion Square to play around at SEWE and then met some friends at Sol for drinks and to share the good news.
After enjoying the special time and letting our family and close friends know the good news, we shared it with the world on Tuesday!
Now the wedding planning fun begins! Let me know if you have any great outdoor spots in Charleston you wouldn’t mind sharing. We’re a fan of the lowcountry, if you can’t tell…
And I’m sure everyone knows I’ll have an assortment of projects for the big day that I’ll be sharing here!THANK YOU again for all the love this past week — we have truly loved reading all the messages from everyone! Yall have made this such a special and fun time for us!

Love!!!
Yay! I am so happy for you both! You are a lovely couple and deserve all the best!
