The other day I saw a picture on Instagram of rosemary wrapped around a candle, and thought that’s so easy to do, plus I have everything you’d need. This isn’t really a craft, but just a way to class up a bland candle in a jar, or a way to get a great scent from scentless candles. I also found this pin using lavender, which would be great to use around candles as centerpieces.
Rosemary Wrapped Candle
What you’ll need:
- Candle in glass jar
- Rosemary sprigs
- Twine / yard
Not too many steps here.. Just tie some twine around the glass container with the candle inside. I just tied it around the candle once, but in hindsight, I think it looks cuter if you tie it a few times around. Maybe next time..
Then just stick your rosemary sprigs in the twine, around the candle, and light the candle. I trimmed the rosemary so it wasn’t taller than the candle itself, which also helped it stand up straighter.
Voila! You have now added some rosemary scent to a candle.
Note: After burning the candle for a few hours, the rosemary got hot and started to wilt, so this is more of a short term solution, unless you don’t plan on burning your candle.
