Monday and Wednesday nights revolve around intramural co-ed flag football and kickball, and every three months it’s time for the playoffs and championships.  This past Friday was the spring kickball finale party at the Joe Riley stadium, where the Riverdogs play.

My kickball team was ready to play, and we ended up coming from behind in both the semi finals and finals to win the cup!  It took 2 years, and multiple seasons of getting 2nd and 3rd place, but we were back on top — out of 134 teams!

The football championship was this past Monday, and although we played great in the second half, it wasn’t enough to win.  Now we have a week off before it all starts again…

In house news, I haven’t been crafting as much since I painted the door hanger, but I have been making a lot of oyster shell candles and jewelry dishes, and shipping them off to Colorado, Florida, and California!  I promise some new projects will be coming soon.

A few weeks ago we found this great pelican print that we decided to put in the guest bathroom where the ombre canvas art was.  Luckily it was a standard size (unlike my sea turtle map print), and last night we found a great natural wood frame for it at Hobby Lobby.  Now it’s finally on the wall!

Even though we plan on painting all of the guest rooms, and updating the linens, I love how Evan the pelican looks with the current shower curtain!  (Ask me about my pelican obsession)  And I think I’ll be looking for new bath linens that also match the print now.

Another exciting update is that we finally got a grill!  We got a big green egg, so if you have any great recipes, send them my way!  The grilling starts this weekend, so I’m sure you’ll see some new recipes soon…
