This past weekend Hunter and I headed to Atlanta for a mimosa brunch hosted by mom’s bridge club.

Notice that my eye is red and swollen? Fun story, I got dog hair in my eye on Friday night and woke up with a swollen and irritated eye.  After lots of eye drops, ice, and make up, it looked better, but was still clearly irritated.  I’m back to normal now though!

Special thanks to everyone who came from out of town to be there with us! I think Lauren got the award, coming down from Boston.  She’s a great MOH, huh?

After the brunch we headed to the HUGE Restoration Hardware on Peachtree St with Hunter’s parents.  It’s seriously huge, like 7 stories and 70,000 square feet huge.  We spent over an hour going through the rooms, getting inspiration, and enjoying the views of the Buckhead and Atlanta skyline!

The Buckhead Village area has changed a lot since I was there last, and it’s great.  We enjoyed some moscow mules at The Southern Gentleman across the street before heading back to the Hyatt’s.

For dinner the Hyatts, Wilds, and Elders got Mexican at Uncle Julio’s.  The Hyatts have been part of of family forever, so it was great that they finally got to meet Hunter’s family on Saturday.  Margaritas and queso are always fun with family:)

We woke up early on Sunday morning to hit the road and get back to Charleston with enough time to enjoy the day.  The weekend before, we completely dug up the bushes in the front bed, in preparation of a lot of upcoming yard work.  Hunter worked on the lawn while I did some spring cleaning in the kitchen, then we started a plan for the front and back yards that we hope to complete before May 12!

I made this bourbon salmon for dinner that was absolutely delicious!  Marianne had perfect timing when posting that recipe, and it was as good as the pictures look.

The countdown to May continues…  Here’s to another productive week!
