This is another busy wedding year for us, so you’ll be seeing lots of wedding / wedding events posts in the next few months (esp. June & October).  My second bachelorette party of the year was for my good friend from college, Meaghan!  She’s originally from Boston, went to Cofc, then moved back up north.   Her wedding is in Kennebunkport, Maine, so Charleston was a perfect bachelorette location for her (and those of us that live here were secretly thrilled).

The weekend festivities kicked off Friday night with a drink at Fuel, then dinner across the street at R Kitchen.  I’ve only been to R Kitchen once on the culinary tour, so to say I was excited is an understatement.  The meal was phenomenal and we had the perfect seats, right by the kitchen.

Saturday morning I hung around Mt. Pleasant getting some errands done, while some of the girls ate downtown and enjoyed drinks on the Bohemian Hotel’s rooftop.

We had a little party at Katie’s house on Saturday night with appetizers, drinks, and a lingerie shower.  Erin brought the best cookies from Bakies, and then she was my mom at the urgent care down the street after I sliced my finger open.  Oops.

It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t make a lil glass for Meg to drink out of, so I stuck with the nautical theme and did a ‘Bride to Be’ one for her.

After our pre-game, we took a party bus downtown, picked up Brittney and Sarah, and went to Republic for dancing with the bride.  Meg got her picture with T-Rav from Bravo’s Southern Charm show based in Charleston, so it may have been a early night, but it was a success!

Sunday morning we went to my favorite restaurant in Charleston, Obstinate Daughter, for brunch.  I’ve only had brunch there once, and was happy to go back and try another brunch item on the menu, and their peach bellini!meg bach_08

After brunch, most of us headed to the beach for some sun.  The breeze was still a little chilly, but it was nice to be by the water and enjoy the wonderful weather (and work on my tan).  The rest of the day was spent getting working on orders, and getting ready for the week!

Only 9 more weeks until we travel up to Maine for Meg and PJ’s wedding!  I personally can’t wait to get back up to that beautiful state and explore a new city 🙂
