2016 is a busy year for us with 11 weddings to attend (including our own). We eased into the year with Taylor & Will’s wedding in April, then our own in May, but the real craziness started in June with a different wedding in a different city each weekend.
Troy & Ashley
Troy and Ashley were married on June 4th in Columbia, SC. They both work at Boomtown with Hunter, although I got to know Troy when he was at SPARC with me. They were married at the same church her grandparents and family have all been married at, and the reception was at 701 Whaley in the Vista.
Highlights: Troy doing “the worm” (and all his dancing that night) and Cocky coming out to Sandstorm. Plus Hunter splitting his pants dancing…
Freddie & Hayden
Wedding #2 was in Anderson, SC to celebrate some of Hunter’s friends, Freddie & Hayden. We headed up early on Saturday to spend the day on Lake Keowee with friends before getting dressed and going to the church and club house.
Highlights: The putt putt course at the reception and spending the weekend at Zach’s lake house on Keowee with friends!
Bryan & Gibbon
Gibbon and Bryan were married at the Carriage House on Magnolia Plantation in Charleston, and we were kinda excited to stay in town that weekend. Gibbon and I have been friends since the very beginning of freshman year at Cofc and we were both happy to share the special day with them and Cofc friends.
Highlights: Bryan singing Miley Cyrus, and the near hospital nut miss. Apparently pralines = nuts. But the mac n cheese was delicious!
PJ & Meaghan
To cap off the month, we headed up to Maine for Meg and PJ’s wedding! Meg is another #PC06 friend from college, and we lived together sophomore year. A slew of Cofc Adpi’s and their husbands / dates headed up to Kennebunkport to celebrate all weekend together.
Highlights: Meg’s veil getting caught on the church door as she walked down the aisle (everyone started laughing), lobster at every meal, and all of the dancing on the dance floor.
Congratulations to all the June newlyweds – We love y’all and wish you all the best! Now it’s time for us to take 2 weeks off before the next wedding…
