Do you ever get an idea and can’t think about anything else until you make it?  That’s how I was last week when I wanted to use palm fronds in design.  I started by cutting one in a gold vinyl to put on a wine glass, then proceeded to go outside to see it in the sunlight.  Sold.

I continued to cut a larger palm frond in gold foil htv and out it on a pillow cover, then made a set of slate coasters as well.  When put together, they make the perfect combination for a summer happy hour on the porch!

It’s getting pretty hot outside, so we can only enjoy the porch in the morning or at dusk at this point in the summer, but that’s not stopping me!  It’s still one of my favorite places to write, read and enjoy a glass of wine after a long day at work.
