I hope everyone had a great 4th of July holiday! It was weird having it in the middle of the week, but we had a lot of fun with friends.  We decided to host everyone at our house that night to grill out and happened to get a few things done in the dining room so we used that room to handle all the sides.  We also got a new flag for the front, the Moultrie flag, which was used during the successful defense of Sullivan’s Island against the British fleet in June 1776. Cool, right?

After deciding to use the dining room, I added a lil more decor in there – leftover paper fans from the surprise party last July and added “America” to one using my Cricut.  After a rainy morning, we spent the day at the pool then came back to the house to grill burgers & hot dogs and eat all the great sides people brought.  There was corn hole in the back and we lit sparklers and some fireworks after dark.

It was a great way to celebrate the 4th and have all of our neighbors & friends over!  At the end of the night, we talked about how lucky we were to have great friends and a place to entertain.  I’m sure there will be even more cook outs soon!
