The dining room was one of the rooms I was most excited about updating because it including removing a wall and really opening the space up. Outside of removing the 2 doors to the kitchen and changing the light fixture, we waited to do any work in here until the big renovation.

Here’s a listing photo from 2017:

The dining room had quite a few changes: scraped ceiling, removed the wall to kitchen, new floors, trim, crown, board & batten, wall & ceiling paint and light fixture.

From that ^ to this today!

Table & side chairs: Steven Shell |Buffet & captain chairs: Nadeau | Light fixture & rug: Wayfair | Oyster art: Gallavantor

Now for a little comparison from what we started with.

This was one of my favorite before & after photos because of the difference removing the wall made and how you can see the front door and the living room from the one corner.

We already had more of the furniture for this room and once we got the side chairs, we were in good shape! We do want to add some taller plants to either side of the buffet & art to add some green and height, but that’s it.

Room number 2: done!
