It’s been awhile, but I’m back with another renovation reveal! This time it’s the guest bathroom.

At first glance the room wasn’t that bad, and just seemed like it needed new fixtures and bathroom pieces, but on closer inspection you could really see the 1983 in it. Here’s one of the listing photos:

Back in March of 2019, we did a few cosmetic updates to make it a little better, but knew we were waiting on the major renovation to really spruce it up.

And a major renovation it was. We stripped it down to the studs in the shower and started fresh.

Here’s the work list for the guest bathroom: installed new tile floors & shower, sliding glass door, trim, crown molding, painted the walls and ceiling (ceiling was already scraped), replaced the interior door, door hardware, installed a new exhaust fan, lights, mirror, vanity, and fixtures. Phew.

Small room, but a lot of work.

Light: Wayfair | Bath / Shower Kit: Lowe’s | Towel hook: Lowe’s | Mirror & Vanity: Custom built

Now here are the comparison photos:

Since this is the bathroom that our guests use (that stay over or just visit), we wanted it to be clean and fresh and I think we achieved that. The glass door makes the room feel a lot bigger and no seats in the shower also make it feel roomy.

Here’s to hoping that it doesn’t take me another few months for the next reveal 😉
