Happy (almost) Halloween!
If you saw my Instagram stories, then you saw that 8 of us did a group costume this past weekend and dressed up as Mario Kart characters! I was Koopa Troopa, Hunter was Luigi and we had a slew of other characters covered like Mario, Toad, Donkey Kong, Princess Peach, etc.
We all met at our house before heading to a party at a neighbor’s house, so naturally I had to get some things together..
I found some glow in the dark chalk at Hobby Lobby and created a start / finish line by our driveway. I also drove around and added some arrows to the street to create a “course” for our race.
I also got some decorations together for our house like a Super Mario Photo Booth Kit (aff link), some ? boxes (aff link) updated our kitchen letter board and created some red turtle shells from half spheres of foam and paint.
When everyone came over we got some pictures, then went on a ride through the neighborhood and ended at the party. The balloons on the golf cart were the perfect touch to bring it all together!
We had so much fun and these may have been some of my favorite costumes! They were pretty easy to put together and it was great being part of a big group. I’ll get to wear this again on Halloween at my game, too!
What are you dressing up for Halloween?
